Vidjak Video Sources
How To Use the Video Sources
You can use Vidjaks to create a custom envelope around videos hosted from many different sources. The most common video hosts today are Youtube, Google Video, and MySpace Video. All of these are simple to integrate into a Vidjak. When you build a Vidjak project Section #2 is called "Input Video Source". In this section you specify the video source and video code id. If your video is hosted on Youtube, Google Video, or MySpace Video, select it from the video source dropdown box. The next input is the video ID code. This code is dependant on where your video is hosted.
To find the video ID code, search or navigate to the video you want on the host site (for example - Youtube). Once you have navigated to the single page that displays your video, you can find the video ID code. It is part of the URL in the browser nav bar.
Below are host specific instructions to find the video ID code. The video ID code will be a string of letters or numbers in the URL of the video page. For each hosting site, the string of numbers or letters you should use are circled in red.
Youtube:
For Youtube videos, the video ID code is the string in the URL directly after the "watch?v=" piece and "&feature=" piece of the URL.
Google Video:
For Google Videos, the video ID code is the string in the URL directly after the "?docid=" piece of the URL.
MySpace Video:
For MySpace Videos, the video ID code is the string in the URL directly after the "?VideoID=" piece of the URL.
