Vidjak FAQ

What is a Vidjak?

Vidjak is a complete video presentation to enhance your videos on your website. A Vidjak creates a customizable envelope around your video to draw the eye to it. This envelope allows you to brand your video with your custom logo or text in a top banner. There is also a "get video HTML" link on the bottom of your Vidjak to allow others to easily embed the entire envelope (video + logo + text) into their websites.

For more information on Vidjak benefits please visit the Benefits page.

How do I get started?

Once you sign up for a Vidjak account, you can build an unlimited number of Vidjak envelopes to surround your videos. These videos can be hosted on YouTube, Google Video, MySpace Videos, or directly from your site.

Once you have created and uploaded your videos, simply login into your Vidjak account to build your custom Vidjak. With a Vidjak account you will be able to choose a color and top and bottom banner that can include an image or text. This top and bottom banner will be a link to any web address you choose.

To get started, create an account see the Register page.

Why is Vidjak a Beta Version

We feel that the Vidjak service is stable and very usefull for users. However, we wanted to list the service as beta 1.0 until we have a core set of users that see no issues.

If you find any bugs in the software, please let us know through the Contact Page. This will help us troubleshoot and correct any issues you find.

How does it work?

Once you have logged in and submitted your Vidjak through the Add New Project page, you will be presented with a small block of html code to add to your website. This code will pull the information for each Vidjak from our server and display the Vidjak content and video on your site.

I noticed Vidjak uses Javascript. What happens when a user has Javascript disabled in their browser

When a user has javascript disabled in their browser, they will not see the graphical representation of the Vidjak, however they will still see and be able to the view the video. This is the reason the "embed" or "object" code is separate from the javascript calls to our servers.

There are future plans to enhance Vidjak to include text, links, or images for users of javascript disabled browsers.

What happens when others embed my Vidjak on their site?

When other sites use the Vidjak code to embed your videos, you not only get content distribution and brand recognition through the banners, you also get links back to your site (or any other site you choose). You specify where the top and bottom banners link to when you build your Vidjak project.

Where can I host my raw videos?

Currently you can host your raw vidoes on Youtube, Google Video, MySpace Video, or directly on your site. You can host your video anywhere you can call it from an "embed" html tag.

Please see the Video Sources for more information.

What size should I set in the html "embed" tag?

To fit the video properly in a Vijak, the width needs to be 425 pixels and the height needs to be 355 pixels.

I want to be an advertiser on the basic version. How do I do this?
